A team at the University of Adelaide has unveiled the first laboratory-grade quantum battery prototype using entangled molecular dyes. The device exploits collective quantum behaviour to charge approximately 70x faster than equivalent lithium-ion cells of the same capacity. While energy density remains low, the breakthrough opens a path to ultrafast charging in medical implants and aerospace sensors.
